    If you ride adventure bikes, this is a night you’ll want on your calendar.

    Join Penco Power Products for a special evening focused on the Montana Backcountry Discovery Route. Learn how the route was created, what makes it unique, and what to expect if you’re planning to ride it this season.

    The evening begins with a presentation from Butte local and longtime moto industry insider Matt Krsul. Matt volunteered with the BDR team to scout sections of the MTBDR, including areas around Great Falls, and will share behind-the-scenes insight into the route development process and what it takes to bring a BDR to life.

    Following the presentation, we’ll screen the full-length MTBDR documentary film. After the film, stay for a live Q&A with Matt and a BDR giveaway.

  • Backcountry Discovery Routes® (BDR®) is set to launch its 23rd route—the Montana BDR (MTBDR)—on February 7th, 2026. As the final Western state in the BDR network, Montana is poised to become one of BDR's  most iconic and widely ridden routes, drawing thousands of adventure and dual-sport motorcyclists each year to the state’s remote roads and rural communities.

    This route, like all BDRs, is made possible through the collective support of riders, fans, and industry partners. The BDR network is a testament to what our community can build together, creating unforgettable riding experiences for all to enjoy.

    The forthcoming Montana BDR will take riders on an incredible journey through more than 13 mountain ranges, covering about 1000 miles across the state. With epic backroads, historic towns, and stunning landscapes, this route has something for every adventure rider and traveler. As the final piece of the western US BDR network, the MTBDR might be the most anticipated route we’ve ever made, and we can’t wait to share it with the adventure community in early 2026.
